Public Relation Officer challenges psychiatri to a comparison with Narconon

An uncontrolled outburst against scientology and to that several serious wrongs in facts

That is how Gullevi Almgren , public relations officer from the Church of Scientology describes psychiatrist Ulf Brettstams information in Tuesdays newspaper regarding Narconons plans to start a treatmentcentre in Lättarp. Narconon is to the Church of Scientology, closely related activity. Gullevi Almgren , who by the way is born in Landsbro (small village in Småland) , gives a totally different picture of scientology , to the one upheld by Brettstam. Among other things, she reveals why representatives from psychiatry usually is extremely prejudiced against the church. This is what she says:

- The founder of scientology , L Ron Hubbard , revealed in a book 1951 , brainwashing experiments performed in psychiatry, wich of course forced psychiatry to attac. In 1969 Citizens Commission of Human Rights was founded , in collaboration with the internationally well known professor of Psychiatry, Thomas Szasz and a lawyer. The purpose was to guard and protect the human rights of the mentally ill.

In the latest years CCHR has reveiwed psychiatry regarding forced institutional care and electrochock treatments. This year , CCHR, has been chocked by the 16.9 % increase in using antipsychotics to infants in the USA. A horrofying development. In Sweden the proportion of children receiving amfetamine has increased from 60 to 4000. The increase is 6 666 % in a few years. A similarly horrofying number. And we is number one in the world in this regard. Almgren states that such statements has made psychiatry to view scientologists as hateobjects.
